Your journey into acting began with the 20th Century Fox “New Talent” program in 1967. Was it a result of years of effort?
I was in my final semester of business school at USC, undergoing management training with United Airlines. Despite minimal acting experience, my agent saw potential and recommended me to Fox. Richard Zanuck’s approval sealed the deal when he learned of my basketball background, aligning with his UCLA fandom.
