Mark Harmon

Mark Harmon is an American actor known for his roles in television and film. He was born on September 2, 1951, in Burbank, California, USA. Harmon began his acting career in the 1970s with guest appearances on various television shows, including “Ozzie’s Girls” and “Adam-12.”

He gained significant recognition for his role as Dr. Robert Caldwell on the medical drama series “St. Elsewhere” in the 1980s. However, Harmon is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, the lead character in the long-running CBS series “NCIS” (Naval Criminal Investigative Service), which premiered in 2003 and became a massive success.

Throughout his career, Harmon has also appeared in numerous films, including “Summer School,” “The Presidio,” and “Freaky Friday.” He has received several awards and nominations for his work, including multiple People’s Choice Awards for his role on “NCIS.”

Aside from his acting career, Harmon is also known for his involvement in college football. He played quarterback for the UCLA Bruins football team during his college years. Additionally, he has been involved in various philanthropic endeavors. Mark Harmon is married to actress Pam Dawber, and they have two sons together.
