In the upcoming NCIS spinoff, Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, portrayed by Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, respectively, are set to take center stage. The series, penned by John McNamara, promises an action-packed journey filled with love, danger, tears, and laughter as the couple navigates their unconventional “happily ever after” with their daughter Tali.
The storyline picks up after the events of NCIS, where Tony and Ziva have been raising Tali together. When Tony’s security company comes under attack, they embark on a thrilling adventure across Europe, attempting to uncover the identity of their assailants and rebuild trust in each other.
Both Weatherly and de Pablo are not only reprising their roles but also serving as executive producers for the spinoff. While details on additional casting remain sparse, production is slated to commence in Europe later this year for Paramount+. However, fans will need to wait a bit longer for the premiere, possibly until late 2024 or even 2025.
Unlike previous NCIS spinoffs, this one will stream exclusively on Paramount+, breaking away from the traditional CBS airing format. And while NCIS Season 21 won’t directly set up this Tony/Ziva-centric series, the groundwork for their next chapter has already been laid out in the show’s recent seasons.
