Sofia Richie and her husband, Elliot Grainge, have welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Eloise. The 25-year-old model shared the joyous news in an Instagram post on Friday, May 24, captioning it, “Eloise Samantha Grainge. 5•20•24 best day of my life [sic].”
Sofia recounted her early discovery of the pregnancy, explaining that she found out when she was just four weeks along. “I was on a trip to Milan for fashion week, attending the Prada show. It was a quick 24-hour turnaround, and I felt terrible but attributed it to jet lag.”
Elliot, 30, was accustomed to Sofia taking pregnancy tests randomly. The couple had been “casually trying” to conceive since their wedding in April 2023. “He didn’t really flinch when I said I was checking,” Sofia shared. “I was using one of those cheap at-home tests and saw the faintest line. After seeing so many negatives, I knew this was different.”
Throughout the journey, Elliot remained supportive. “He is such a sweet guy, always wanting to protect my emotions and expectations,” Sofia continued. “He sat me down and said, ‘If these tests are negative, don’t be upset. Our moment will come.’ When we turned over all three tests at the same time, they were all positive.”
