Paramount Network has also unveiled plans for another spin-off titled “1944,” which could potentially follow the Dutton clan through World War II. Speculation suggests it might incorporate characters from “1923,” possibly including Brandon Sklenar’s Spencer, though there’s talk of a potential recast due to age considerations. Sklenar might be a tad young if Spencer is meant to be in his fifties. Sheridan’s other project, “Lawmen: Bass Reeves,” is currently airing. Initially assumed to be part of the Yellowstone spin-off universe, it hasn’t been explicitly tied to shows like “1883” despite sharing a similar style.
